Which coffee machine is right for your business?

That depends on your concept. Basically, a wide range of coffee specialties is in demand today, and the first choice for this are professional fully automatic coffee machines, which reliably prepare a wide variety of drinks in top quality at the touch of a button. Beans, fresh milk and cocoa varieties can be varied. Milk foam can be produced in different consistencies and temperatures, even at a separate spout in a barista pot, and tea water can also be dispensed at a separate spout at the same time as the coffee, depending on the performance classes.

If you want to use a trained barista, you prefer to use semi-automatic portafilters, which require a lot of practiced manual work. Where coffee preparation is part of the concept, trained employees are deployed to operate coffee grinders and semi-automatic portafilter espresso machines. Demonstrated handicraft is part of the concept here, including manual milk frothing and barista pot latte art. Our Cafina® portafilter series has an automatic pressure system that relieves the barista of the "tamping" step and guarantees an even result.

 

Not only the preparation, but also the cleaning requires more effort with semi-automatic concepts. However, you should also take a close look at fully automatic coffee machines and compare how time-consuming daily cleaning actually is. Sometimes brewing groups, spouts or hoses have to be dismantled. We rely on "clean in place" for our fully automatic coffee machines of the Melitta® Cafina® XT and CT series and offer automatic cleaning of the brewing unit and the milk system in a closed system.

Filter coffee is also by no means obsolete, professional filter coffee machines brew fresh as needed and avoid longer waiting times of the coffee. Freshly prepared filter coffee is particularly in demand in the breakfast and banquet business, also as coffee to go or as an accompaniment to pastries and cakes.
