Changing of the guard in Münster: High above the city, in the "Café 1648", service technician Guido Tegelkamp has his successor Christoph Schäper at his side. Together, they look for the Melitta® Cafina® XT8 fully automatic coffee machine, which has dispensed around 30,000 products in one year here on the 11th floor of the Stadthaus. A second XT8 on the upper floor even more than doubles this cup performance. In addition to the panoramic view over the city of Münster and the attractive range of products produced in-house, it is also the special atmosphere that makes the café such a popular place. Named after the Peace of Westphalia, Café 1648 is run by the Alexians as an inclusion company in which people with and without disabilities work together.

Even though he is now retiring after a good 48 years of work, 32 of them with Melitta, Guido Tegelkamp has not yet reached the end of his professional career up here. "The passion for coffee won't let me go," he reports in the café with a view. In the future, the senior technician will accompany projects in the International Customer Service team two days a week. His experience - peppered with exciting assignments outside the Münsterland, from the North Sea island to the Black Forest to Kosovo and the USA - continues to be in demand at Melitta Professional. And he loves to come back here to "Café 1648" as a guest: "It's always a pleasure with the team and the people here". Colleague Bernd Billik can only confirm this. The area manager responsible for Melitta Professional in Münsterland did not miss the opportunity to be present at the on-site visit and expressly thanked Guido Tegelkamp for the always trusting cooperation.

Successor Christoph Schäper brings 13 years of experience as a coffee machine technician to Melitta Professional and already feels "right at home" at the side of his godfather, he lets it be known. From a technical point of view, it is great to look after high-level machines from the company's own development and production in the factory customer service. And from a human point of view, it fits even more in the family business Melitta. He was already able to experience this in a larger group at the Melitta Group's summer party in Minden.
